Most of you have heard about Firefox 3, right? They now hold a Guinness World Record for the most software downloaded in 24 hours. We all agree that Firefox is a great browser. To make it even better, we can used a simple tweak to boost your Firefox speed!! Actually the steps are quite simple. Just follow the instruction below:

1. Open your Firefox browser and type "about:config" in the URL bar.
2. A warning will appear and you just have to click on the “I’ll be careful, I promise!” to continue.

3. Right-click anywhere and go to NEW > BOOLEAN

4. When there is a prompt appears, enter "config.trim_on_minimize". Click OK then select "True" for the next prompt.

5. Finally, restart your Firefox browser.

After you have finished the instruction above, you should able to see a boost in speed! Grab your own Firefox now!

what this function "config.trim_on_minimize" actually?
I have apply this setting too, let see how fast it will be :P

From what I can tell, this doesn't boost Firefox's speed -- it just helps Windows to free up memory when Firefox is minimized. This can help if you have *other* programs running and not enough memory for everything (in which case they will have more memory). The only effect it should have on the speed of Firefox is that it will be slower to switch back to Firefox when it is minimized.
